Do you ever
have giftcards to certain stores that you usually love....but when you go to buy something, you can't find ANYTHING in the store to spend money on?!?
I have an unused $50 gc for NY&Co, and $100 for Love my Shoes....and I can't find a damn thing!!!!!
 I hate that!

Oh yeah, there are times that I get them to NY&CO. and when I go I feel like I already have everything in there. Just wait a few weeks when the summer line comes in.

I went to Pier 1 to *use* the $50 gift card I had - found some stuff after 1/2 hour and FORGOT to use the gift card!!!!

You know what's worse? Getting a GC to a store you don't shop in!
When I was a young teenager like 14-16, I loved dELiA's, but my sister's MIL got me a GC there when I was like, 19. I'm way too old for the clothes there, and a lot of it is cheap quality and blah blah. I used it like 2 years later on a notebook, a keychain and lip balm..lol I hate when you just have to buy stuff for the sake of buying it.
How's the Gap lately? I used to shop there religiously, like in HS, but now I don't shop there at all, so of course I got a GC there for my birthday from my sister. I have no idea what to buy there.

my sister works there....I'm not crazy about their stuff other than the basics, like jeans and layering tees. Good men's clothes though.

Are they interchangeable (like a Simons gift card or something) where you can bring them back to the mall and maybe exchange them for something else? Or maybe regift them?

I wanted to mention Shorty.....
once I was in Sephora and this lady came up to me when I was in line and asked if she could pay for my stuff with her GC and I would give her the cash. She freaked me out a bit at first but she stuck around for the whole transaction at the counter, she only had an $11 credit so it was okay with me. So you can approach someone at the store if you really really really cant get rid of the GC for a long time without looking like a freak! Or you can maybe sell it to a friend who is going to spend money at the certain store anyway.
