Do you count the "light pink" days?

So I just read that you don't count CD1 until you actually need a tampon (??) I have two days before I need a tampon (but still need a pantyliner) where is is basically light pink CM. Do I count that as CD 1 or wait until the dark red stuff comes?

I have been counting the light pink days as CD 1 and with that I am consistantly having 30 day cycles.

I am at CD 9 (with my current thinking). Am I totally off??

CD1 is the first day that you get full flow. So I'd think no, those first light pink days wouldn't count.

if including those pink days you are always 30 days i wouldn't worry about it just be consistent
but in general it is the first day of full flow

Yup you probably have 28 day cycles if you don't count those first two light days.
