Do you count babies age by weeks or month?

I cant figure this out...my DD is 16 weeks, but according to the Ped is not 4 months until April? Is that right...She was born Dec 1

i usually count by months. i would say your daughter is 4 months on april 1.

Once my DD hit 3 months, I stopped saying how many weeks she was and switched to 3 months, 3 1/2 months etc. And if you're talking to someone who doesn't have children or their kids are older and you say your child is 21 weeks, they tend to look at you like.. so that would be how many months? Every month has a different amount of days and all so I guess that's where the difference is.

Once she hit 3 months, I started using months. After 12 weeks it just felt weird using weeks and I had a hard time remembering.

Eliza will be 5 months on April 5, so right now when people ask, I tell them she's 4.5 months old.

i counted by weeks until after DS was 3 months old, now i count by months. no idea how many weeks he is now

I count by months.....it's easier to keep track of.

I do weeks until it gets to high then I switched to months. Thats usually around 3months is when I switch.. b/c they are no longer considered newborn.
