I can completely understand people not believing her, but if she were going to make something like that up, why wouldn't she just stick to molestation/rape. Claiming that it was consensual incest (for at least the later years), she must know will put her in a negative light in many eyes. I watched her on Oprah yesterday, and (yes, I know she's an actress) she looked completely believable.

Papa John was known as a major substance abuser and seemed to have passed that trait to his daughter. He was a sick man. She was/is a sick woman. I believe it.

Absolutely. I believe that she was in a sense "groomed" to be a substitute spouse to her parent - and while it was consensual, I don't believe she was in her right mind.

My thoughts exactly. If all she was after was the attention, she could've just said he molested her for years, she didn't have to say she consented. So yeah, I believe her.

No-she's lied before and I just don't buy it.
Could it be true? Of course. But without evidence to prove an allegation like this, I won't take her at her word. I would be more likely to believe it coming from someone else.
As for why she would make up THIS story as opposed to saying she was raped or molested? Because, unfortunately rape and molestation are far too common now. The uniqueness of her story will sensationalize it and get her extra attention.

I believe it's part truth. I'm sure there are many parts that aren't true, though. In fact, I don't think even she knows the full truth. She's sick in the head (IMO) and was in a drug haze for a good part of her life. I think people like that don't often have a grip on reality and don't remember things exactly as they were and can't even tell fact from fiction anymore. Do I believe there was some sort of incest? Yes, probably. But all the details...I'm sure they're off. I don't think it really matters...whatever the details, it's a disgusting story. Even if they just did a lot of drugs together.
