I've participated in it as part of a show - for entertainment purposes. I believe that it can work, but I think you really have to be a believer in it for it to work. If you go in with a lot of doubts or questioning whether it will work, it might not.

I did it for smoking and walked out of the Green Seminar and smoked a cigarette. So I dont this it is for real.

I honestly don't know. I don't know anyone that's done it and I've never had it done. Woof. So I can't really say... I'd be willing to try it though. You can guess what my vote was.

I'm not sure, but it is the only thing that helped my father quit smoking. And he tried everything!

I think so.
At my college orientation they had a hypnotist and the girl sitting next to me got chosen to go on stage. They hypnotized her and made her (and others) do all these crazy things and when she came back and sat down she had no idea what just happened and why everyone was laughing and clapping. I'll never forget that!

Same here. It was one of my good friends who is the most reserved girl ever. This guy had her take off her sneaker and strap it to her face, thinking it was an oxygen mask. There's no way she would ever do something like that

Yes. My father went through it to quit smoking and I did for my fear of flying. It helped me but only temporarily. I had to keep going but it got too expensive.

Yes! I saw them try it out on "MythBusters" and they found that people remembered details of a crime scene better under hypnosis than they could otherwise. I love that show!

i seen a comedy show where they selected random people at an improv show (10 people) They were are all out of it. The comedian made them do the funniest thigns.. i beleive but nevre tried it myself

depends on what it is for, and who it is done by. The troops that are coming home from Tikrit (which is a high "boom" area) are bring hypnotized ot help them with PTSD and they are reporting outstanding outcomes. It only works with the right training,there are also about 1/2 dozen of different types of visual imagery/hypnotizing. If it didn;t work for you, you may not have the correct form for your anxiety/addction. So, I beleive in it
