Do you...
play music for baby?
Baby P has been to Santana, Branford Marsalis, and Elton Johns concerts so far. My sister scolded me, that we should be listening to Classical. So today that's what I have on.
Do you play music for baby and if so any particular type??

Re: Do you...
Not yet. I didn't think they could hear outside the womb until week 16.
But believe me, baby will get all sorts of music then.
He will be born a Beatles fan, like to rock to Metallica, be familiar with the Wicked Soundtrack, twang with the Dixie Chicks and like a little Mozart too.

Not yet but the baby will definitely be listening to all sorts of music. I love music, hip hop, r&B, alternative, classical, almost everything.

Re: Do you...
I don't believe in any of that. The womb is so noisy, and even though the baby can hear, i don't think they can hear the difference between rock and roll and classical music.
My DD loved music, she moved around so much at weddings etc, but i dont' think she's going to break into a chacha slide anytime cause she heard it in the womb.

Re: Do you...
I don't play anything. My baby got to hear the rumble of race cars this summer, that was about it for stimulation!

Re: Do you...
I would try to sing with every song I heard - I figured that was the best they could hear over the noise

Whatever is on in the car! I don't listen to rap, so, its usually nice and calm. At work during "Quiet Time" we play classical music and everyone (Including baby) are relaxed.

Re: Do you...
We wake up to Mozart for Mommies and Babies and then it's whatever is on in the car on the radio or CD that I put in. Both my DS and DD went to many Jimmy Buffet concerts when they were in my womb and this baby just went to hear Hootie and the Blowfish.
i did the classical thing with both kids but only in the morning when I woke up an gt dressed. Both my kids turned out fine. They both hit all there milestones early but I expect that to even out soon. Don't worry, just listen to the music that helps you get through the day!

Re: Do you...
Funny you posted this. I have been listening to some things today and noticing some increase in movement depending on the song. Mostly operatic stuff but also an old Jazz tune that is really energetic.
Thump, thump!
