Do progesterone suppositories cause
oily skin and hair? About two days ago I noticed that both my hair and face are suddenly oily and I typically have very very dry skin. I have been on suppositories before and have never had this symptom but this time around I've had a few symptoms that I haven't had in the past. My face isn't breaking out and in fact feels very soft which is out of the ordinary to my usual tougher dryer feeling skin. I haven't been using any different products than usual. But both my face and chest have a permanent shine. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I can't stop touching my soft face  but the oily hair I could do without.

not sure...I am on prednisone also and I think that makes my hair greasy...who knows!

progesterone in general (or really any change in hormones) can cause either oily or dry skin (depending on what your skin is normally like)

i never put two and two together but ever since i started the supps my skin has become so disgustine and pily! i was actually going to go to duane reade today and see if i could find some kind of face wash to help with this!
