Do I tip the peapod delivery person?
No flames here, just want to know what other people do?
Money is really, really tight. I was just put on bed rest and need to find day care for my DD. I really don't want to have to tip him for (IMO) simply doing his job. His job is to deliver the food. But I don't want to feel like a scumbag if I don't tip him when the rest of the world does.

technically, they aren't allowed to accept tips, so you shouldn't have to feel guilty if you don't tip.
But, if you can spare $1-$2, it may make his day brighter too

I don't do peapod, but I definitely would tip. You said his job is to deliver food - just like the pizza delivery guy or a waitress. They also deliver food for a living and you tip them.

I don't think the amount you tip is important, I think it's important to give him something though. Even a few dollars just out of appreciation.

I called to complain about items missing in my order and mentioned I had tipped the driver. They pretty much told me not to.

I give like $5 but tbh I've thought twice bc I believe they are paid a salary without tips in mind- whereas a pizza guy gets a low salary b/c tips are the big part of the $ he makes. Same goes for UPS- you would never tip them besides xmas.

I usually tip $5 BUT you tip what you can. There is no set amount, it is just a little something extra as a thank you. If you can do it, do it. If you can't, then don't.

You pay for UPS to deliver your food.
You pay the delivery fee for pea pod.
The kid delivering your pizza is using his own car and (do they get reimbursed for gas?) etc.
Stop and Shop dudes are driving the company truck and getting paid to do so.
You're not supposed to tip them.
I don't use it but I wouldn't. Unless they went like... above and beyond? I don't know an example of how they might but... alas.

DH's friend does it as side work and he relies on his tips. They don't get paid that much.

To be honest, the delivery charge and the tip is what deters me from ordering at Pea Pod or Fresh Direct. I feel like it's a waste a $$.
To answer the OP, I would prob tip a couple of dollars because I would feel bad if I didn't.
