Do I NOT Exist?
Ok, my in-laws are just ARRRRGGGH!!!!!!!! DH's grandfather is very ill and my FIL is going to see him. DH has been working from 3 to 12 these past few days so hasn't been around. Well, FIL calls him to ask if anyone had called to ask if HE will be sending money for his grandfather? DH was confused and said no one had called him or ME to let us know anything. Now I have to drop what I'm doing and drive my azz out to them!  They p!$$ me off. WE ARE MARRIED and it's OUR MONEY....it's ok to call me I won't BITE!

sometimes I wish the same thing. My in laws don't live in NY. They live in FL, are not together but live in the same house as roomates? They fight when we go down there and put us in the middle, they compare me to my BIL's wife and then wonder why I don't call them or have a better relationship with them both.

Sorry to hear. I actually appreciate the fact my inlaws refuse to call me. They will only call DH's cell phone and that is totally ok with me. I'd prefer not speaking to them just as they prefer not speaking to me.

I appreciate that they don't call me, too, but I don't mind them that much. It's just that my MIL will NOT shut up most of the time. I work INSANE hours. I don't have 2 hours to chat with her when I get home. They seem content to let DH call once a week or every other week... and he usually calls on his way home from school...
