Do I need a steam washer?
I'm currently deciding between two Whirlpool Duet models and I'm trying to determine if a "Steam Washer" is worth the extra couple hundred bucks.
Anyone have one?

i have the whirlpool steam washer, ive used it a few times, not often, because it takes a pretty long time to do the wash, i like the quick 25 min cycle the best!
I am always in a rush and wash things last minute or how i need them!
You will love it!

A steam dryer is also a very good feature to have... Which model are you looking to get... I have the Consumers Report and I can look yours up.

Acerone, I'm also a member of consumerreports.org and looked up a bunch of models. I was going to get the Whirlpool Duet WFW9700VW, but now I think I'm going with a Samsung.
Decisions, decisions.

FWIW: I have the Samsung...
The Whirlpool Duet WFW9700VW only has 1,000 RPM...

In the washer it removed stains... A steam dryer, you can do a load of laundry in your washer and also touch up something that's not fresh in the dryer. So it's like having two loads going on at one time...

I have a steam washer and dryer, its great.
Freshens up dry clean only clothing like work pants and sweaters. Also leaves clothes with less wrinkles which helps my poor ironing skills out a lot!
