Do I HAVE to register @ BRU?

Well, I know no one is holding a gun to my head or anything ........but I really HATE this store, and I now HATE their return policy even more ...........WHY the hell can't I return a gift for STORE CREDIT? I'm not asking you to give me cash back .....
What happens if someone insists on buying something god awful that I don't like/need/want? I am STUCK with it? What a total and complete waste of money !! -

What do you think? Is it really bad to not register there ?? I can do BBB can't I ??

Don't register at BRU if you are already aggravated with their policies...that is all I am going to say.

of course you don't have too! bbb i think has a bigger and better seection and if there are no stores by people, they just order it online.

I feel the same way, but BBB isn't convenient for DH's half of the family. There's none nearby...so I have to be fair and will probably end up making the bulk of my registry at BRU.

But good question, what happens if someone gets you something you didn't register for and they don't include a gift receipt?? Are you really stuck with it???

Those who aren't going to buy off of the registry won't buy off of the registry no matter where it is or how convenient it may be for them -

I sucked it up and registered at bru even though I didn't want to. I also registered at bbb for a small amount of things because my bedding was there. Bbb is just not convenient for either of our families and dh's family is notorious for not buying off the registry so we wanted to make it as easy as possible for people who were actually going to buy off the registry and further lìmit the issue of people buying us random stuff.

This time around, if we register for anything, it will be at BBB. I see no reason to register at BRU unless a majority of people you know live no where near a BBB and won't buy things online.

I totally agree with those who only register at BBB. The reason why BRU is so audacious with its return policy is because they get enough business and couldn't care less about what their customers think.

Honestly, whenever I visit BRU most people who shop there are only buying things because they're doing so for a shower. Not because they like shopping there.

Why give them more business? Just register at BBB and tell your relatives/friends that they can get a 20% discount if they use a BBB coupon (even an unexpired Bed Bath and Beyond one works), this would alleviate the shipping cost.

If I had to do it again I would NOT register at BRU due to their return policy.

You definitely don't have to. Even though I think the return policy is terrible, we found it to be a lot more convenient for everyone to shop there. We also did a smaller registry at BBB. I say go with BBB, people will shop where you register.
