Disney World Hotels
With 2 adults a teen and toddler, which hotel would you stay at?
I'm loving the Disney hotels, specifically the animal kingdom lodge and the boardwalk inn, but for the same price, or less we could stay off property at the Reunion Resort, supposedly a 5 star property, in a 2 bedroom, 2bath room with a kitchen.
I know the Disney resorts have villas too, but I think it's around 750 as opposed to around 300 per night.
Anyone been to these resorts? Especially the reunion? It almost sounds too good.
Thanks

I have not been to either of these but have been to Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century and Grand Floridian. After the GF I don't think I could go to a hotel so far from the park. It is more money but you are paying for the convenience. My dh and son went over to DW one day for 3 hours while the rest of us got ready for the day and had breakfast. It was great.

Re: Disney World Hotels
You can rent points from a DVC member for a villa, and it will cost you a lot less than $750 a night. Maybe even less than $300 a night depending on when you go.

We went in May (DH, Me, my 2 toddlers and my 26 year old cousin) and we stayed at The Grand Floridian. It was very convenient.

Thanks! I was looking there too. Were you comfortable in a regular room?

The GF looks beautiful and being so close to mk would at least save us on renting a car...

Yes, no car needed. We used the monorail, the ferry and buses the entire time.

Check out Scott at DVC Rental for DVC Rentals. If you need a referral, let me know. I just used him for my parents room this month

Aww thank you! I will check it out. I did look at David's dvc rentals and they say that all the villas are sold out until Jan or Feb.

They are probably sold out through him, but not through other people/sources. Check www.disboards.com and look on the DVC board for people looking to rent their points out. You can also look on ebay (use only someone with 100% feedback). We rented points from a friend and stayed in a 1 bedroom at Saratoga Springs and it was great.

Re: Disney World Hotels
I own DVC points and a villa is the way to go for a large group. You can definitely rent points from a member for a lot cheaper than booking on your own.
