Disney ticket question
I know some of you are Disney pros!
I am going in a few months. Is it true from what I see online under age two is free?
We are going for dds 3rd bday and she won't actually be three until the day before we leave.
Do I have to buy her a ticket. Is under two free? How will I prove it? She has long hair and I think looks older then 2.

Disney ticket question
Just checked. You pay at 3 years old.
You will have to buy her ticket since she will be 3, and it will be her birthday.
Im NO expert. Just looking at the site.

Re: Disney ticket question
You do not have to pay for him. I believe they look at the age at check-in as their age for the trip.

Re: Disney ticket question
The day before you leave for the trip or the day before the trip ends? Technically, if it's the day before you leave to start your trip you need to pay. If its the day before the trip ends, you don't need to pay.

Under 2 would be 0-23 months of age. So if it were under 2, an almost 3 year old wouldn't be free. The actual rule is the age the day the trip starts at Disney. So if she is 0-35 months of age the day you arrive, then she is free for the parks and all buffets ;)

Re: Disney ticket question
its under 3 is free so if you were going say a week before her 3rd birthday she would be free.
since you are going the day before you can definitely get away with her being free BUT with that said you wouldn't be able to say its her 3rd birthday so they can help celebrate it. you wont be able to certain things that would require her to be 3 to do.
I know people who have taken their kids who are 3 or older have said they are under 3 and not have to pay to get in.
ETA: from what I understand they will not question you on age unless of course your child clearly looks 10 and you are trying to say they are 2

Re: Disney ticket question
If she is still 2 when you start your trip then she doesn't need a ticket.

This just isn't true. You can absolutely celebrate your 3 year old's birthday. As stated numerous times, your child's age is the age on the day the trip starts. If they turn 3 during your trip, they don't let them be free for say 2 days, then make you buy a ticket for the last 5.

I reread my comment I meant to say since she is going the day after she turns 3 she could def get away with her saying she is still 2 I guess she could still celebrate her 3rd birthday if she lies on what day her actual birthday is

I took her post to mean that her child is turning 3 the day before they leave Disney. Even is she wasn't, you don't have to lie to celebrate a birthday there.
I celebrated my 8 year olds birthday there a week past her birthday, ordered a cake, they brought a card, candle etc. No one asked how old she was, it was completely irrelevant. No one is also going to ask her when she gets a birthday button from guest services for the date and year of her child's birthday. Presenting a ticket at the turnstile (or not), has nothing to do with celebrating a birthday in the parks.

ok so I take back my celebrating her bday comment but she still wont be able to do certain things that require the child to be 3 years old to participate in unless of course they don't track those things with tickets vs how old you tell them your kid is
either way if I was her I would most likely not get her a ticket and just say she is two and save the money!

Disney ticket question
But I think she will actually be 2 when they arrive at Disney, if I understood correctly so she doesn't need a ticket for their stay.

I am taking it has the child will be turning 3 right before they leave if that's not true and they are turning 3 while they are at Disney then there is nothing to "worry" about there is no need to buy the ticket.
