Disney--Pics question

I am on the fence about the Memory Maker. Has anyone purchased individual pics from Disney and if so how much are they each? We usually do 4x6 maybe 1 or 2 8x10. Trying to decide if the $$$ is worth it or not. I take tons with my own camera normally but thought it might be nice to have one less "job" on vaca.

I don't know how much individual pics are, but we always do Memory Maker. IMO, soooooooo worth it. Like you said, it's one less job for you to do, and I loved the fact that I was in so many pics with my family (which usually doesn't happen because I'm always taking them) and we got all the ride photos, which are usually soooooo overpriced.

Tx, I prefer to NOT be in pics, LOL but still less fumbling with the camera. I guess what's another $169 at this point, right? Chat Icon

They will take pics with your camera. I found their pics and my pics to be almost the same, so not worth it IMO.

I never purchase it. I did once as a share with a bunch of other Disney people (when you could do that back in the day), but I always hand them my camera and they take photos.

The pics are about $18 individually. I find the Memory Maker more than worth it. They don't just do traditional poses but candids as well.

Disney--Pics question

My last trip to Disney was the first time we didn't get the photo package for the entire trip. We bought a one day package they were "trying out" for the Christmas party. DH mentioned at the end of the trip how different it was not to stop at every photographer for a picture. OTOH, I only have 3 family pictures from the entire trip.

Us too.

The first time - it was more than worth it - we got great pics.

The next time - we didn't get as many great pics but, it was moreso because DS 2 didn't want any part of the characters. The family we traveled with got awesome pics.

I agree. Plus how many pictures are you going to display? I bought a 5x7 of the one shot that came out really good (we still had them take the pics when we wanted and you have the option to buy) and a few to give to grandparents. I think they were around $15 each plus tax/shipping.

I'm normally the photographer but I have lots with me in them because I had them take pictures with my camera. For us, Memory Maker would be a waste of money.

People have not mentioned that it includes ride photos, which you can't get with your camera. We run about 300 photos every trip. It also includes certain character meal photos as well. We always use it. It is a better value now that it includes ride photos and meal photos, than the old package years ago. If you get it. Just make sure to use it.

Tx seeing the cost of individual pics and knowing only 3-4 will be displayed we are going to skip it. Will but the money toward an extra character dinner!
