Disney Help! Sorry LONG

we are going in a few weeks for a short trip to Disney with three kids (2, 4, 6). We will spend two days at the parks and were thinking of doing Magic Kingdom one day and Animal Kingdom the second.

We have boy and girls so didn't want to focus on princesses. Because it is a quick trip want to try to see things all of the kids would enjoy - do they have any Monsters, Inc. stuff at any parks?

Any guidance is so appreciated, we want them to have fun but don't want to overwhelm. My older DCs have been before and all the kids will be again.

Also, what is the fast pass? Anywhere to get discounts on tix or should we buy through Disney? Do you think those parks would be good?

we are staying in a hotel near downtown Disney

Thanks so much for reading and any info!!!

One more question - should we consider doing one Disney day and one day at Universal Studios? I have never been to UA so have NO idea about that park.

Thanks again!

Undercover Tourist has the best price for tickets, although I don't know if you can get them on short notice. As a PP mentioned, Monsters Inc is a comedy show at Magic Kingdom. I can't think of any other place for that. I don't know anything about Universal except that they have Harry Potter so I can't help there - but I would say that one day isn't enough for Magic Kingdom, so I would sincerely doubt one day would be enough for Universal.

I would skip Universal since you only have 2 days to spend between that and Universal. I would do the MK and AK, we just did that last week and my kids had fun. AK is not my favorite park at all, but they enjoy it.

Orbitz has the cash back deal through ebates (look under Orbitz attraction tickets). Otherwise I've purchased from USSSA and their prices beat everyone else. You can get a 2 day park hopper for $180. Disney's price is $259. Even if you aren't hopping, it's a good deal. You could even do AK half day, then go back to the MK. I ordered through them a couple of weeks ago, they ship fedex, and I got my tickets 2 days later. No issues using them. http://store.usssa.com/Products/121-disney-world-theme-park-tickets.aspx You should note that the tickets expire 3/31 though (not sure when you are going)

I've also used Orlando Ticket Club without issue.

Mike and Sulley are located at Hollywood
Studios for a meet and greet.

Since you are off site, you can't reserve your fast pass in advance. You would have to do that while you are in the park at one of the kiosks. You would reserve a time for a ride. You can select up to 3 rides.

There is plenty to do there that doesn't involve Princesses. We didn't visit a single princess on our last trip.

Thanks so much for the responses. I know there is a ton more to see than princesses. we went a few years back with my two older DCs. I will def check out the Monsters Inc show at MK. I know MK is HUGE and you could spend days there but the kids are still little and this won't be our only visit to the park or Disney. I am leaning towards MK and AK for a day each.

I will def check out those site reccs for tix - thank you!!!!

IMO, with kids that young it may be difficult to see all of Magic Kingdom in one day. I would skip AK and spend both days at MK.

We went last year when my DD was 2 and we only got through half of MK in one day.

I just wanted to add that I don't know if you have been there since the New Fantasyland was done, but if not, you have to check out the Dumbo tent. So don't fastpass Dumbo. Inside the tent is a huge play area. While your kids are playing, they give you a ticket to hold your place in line. If there is no line for Dumbo, you can still go in and play. You don't have that option when you fast pass (at least we didn't last year). We went in the morning, and again in the evening, both times were dead, and my kids had a blast in there.

I agree! I was not expecting that when we went in the tent. It was awesome. I think Hollywood Studios is awesome for that age! My kids are 3 and 5 and they loved it!
