Disney help

We went to Disney in September over for four days an are planning our next trip for September 2014. I am a teacher in the public school so we are off for rosh shashana whiicjh in 2014 falls on Thursday and Friday. We will stay at a value hotel like we did last time. When can I book the trip? I know restaurants are 180 days before the date of reservations. Should I book the trip as a package or should I do airfare and hotel separately?

What I would do is book a package if that is what you want when they are released for 2014 which used to be in August but recently have been coming out in June. I always book air separately much cheaper. Then I would watch for discounts which will be realeased most likely in the spring. Sometimes private codes come out with various dates for the year. You can always adjust your reservation at anytime for the discounted rate. You cannot stack discounts though. But you can always change for a better one at anytime.
