Disney entrance and closing question

We are going to Disney this week. I know it's supposed to be packed! Do you think we will be ok entering the parks around 9:30-10ish they shouldn't close due to crowds that early right?

Crowds shouldn't reach capacity next week. That usually only happens during the week of Christmas/New Years, Easter, 4th of July, etc. You should be fine.

I stand corrected then. Epcot doesn't open until 9, but if you were planning for the Magic Kingdom that day I would get there when they open at 8.

Re: Disney entrance and closing question

FYI we were at Disney around New Years a few years ago. Magic Kingdom closes their doors when they hit capacity - we went to Sea World on New Years Eve, and we heard that Magic Kingdom "closed it's doors" at 10:30am b/c they had reached capacity.

New Years Day was around 11am.

I would get there at rope drop to be honest. It's going to be packed. The earlier the better!

Re: Disney entrance and closing question

We have breakfast reservations at 7:35 on Thursday and Friday in the Disney hotels but not at the parks so I'm hopping to be at the parks by 9:30.. Guess we will see..

Re: Disney entrance and closing question

New Year's Day you have to be there at rope drop (and honestly an hour before rope drop). We were there for New Years and they closed the parks due to capacity by 10:30 am. We were even told we could not switch parks. We stayed in the park all day until midnight. They even said it was closed to people staying at their hotels and people with dining reservations.

I would skip the hotel breakfast and eat in the park.

No, because you can use them on other days if you buy those types of tickers. I wonder about the ones that expire as you have to use them in a row, but they specifically say they can close the park due to capacity on the ticket.
