Going in November. We just booked a few days ago and nothing. I mean nothing is available. I need to have a plan this time going down and it's so hard. I know into keep checking and calling but it's so annoying. I can't get anything. Ok vent over

And I know I know it's insane the way it is now but we wanted to do a lot of character meals this time. I want to have a plan this time.

that stinks!! Chat Icon i get it! food is a big part of the trip for us, too! DS is 5 and likes seeing the characters, but doesn't really want to wait in lines to meet them in the parks LOL so we do a bunch of characters meals, too.
I did hear of a site called touring plans. i think its like $10 a year or so-- and apparently you can set up alerts for if meals you want open up, so you can grab the reservation.... it really does stink that you pretty much HAVE to book 6 months before to get the meals you want Chat Icon i'm sure you'll get a bunch though if you keep checking....especially like 60 days before, because people do their fast passes and start firming up plans a little bit more- and cancel ressies they don't need... good luck!!!! you'll have a great time either way!!

OMG! That's crazy!
We are planning to go in November, BUT will be staying off site so don't care about dining (we prefer staying & eating off site).
November is so far away. Disney planning is nuts!

Just keep checking! People book at the 6 month mark and then cancel as plans change. You will even find availabilty as you are there. I was able to change my Chef Mickey's reservations like 3 times the day of since people were cancelling. I kept checking every day for months to get the reservations I wanted.

It's getting harder and harder to book. Keep in mind that while November was historically low season for Disney, there really is no longer a low season. They have successfully mastered the art of keeping the parks full year round.

November has free dining, the Halloween party followed by the Christmas Party, marathons, the end of food and wine, etc...

Try thinking outside the box for the character meals. Tusker House in AK has a great one and it's available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Keep on trying - there will be more availability closer to your date as people change their minds.

November is tough this year - Election Day and Veterans day are in the same week and my district typically has 1/2 days round then as well.

Thank you. I know. We went 3 years ago November. This week we are going there is no free dining but NJ teachers have conference down there and tend to take advantage of going, so it will be a it busier this time we go. Hopefully not to bad.

We are trying to stay in Epcot and MK. I just think it's nuts lol

Try Garden Grill for breakfast or dinner. Great character interactions there. Akershus in Epcot is good to meet the princesses, and easier to book than the Castle. Again, try breakfast instead of dinner.

You can also try Ohana for breakfast, and 1900 Park Fair for dinner or breakfast. Both have good character interactions and are on the monorail.

They let you do that?? That's really not right seeing as how difficult it is to get a reservation. No wonder it's all booked up.

Yup, but they will ultimately cancel the extras because you are charged $10 if you don't show.

Absolutely keep checking, we dropped a H&V reservation the day before and people change them all the time. You can make reservations an hour apart so people can make 2 dinner reservations and drop one closer to their date.
We went this past November and we had an issue with Epcot dining bc they weren't releasing dates, they were holding them too wait for dates of candlelight vigil but eventually they did release them, I Just kept checking site and dis boards to see when.

They are cracking down on the double bookings. I called to see for Cinderella S castle and she said that. I also think people book a lot for everything then cancel when they are to busy. The do charge of you miss so people def cancel but it's still annoying I can't book much now ahead of time especially for the hotel
I'm staying at

Ty. I just bookedbakershus for dinner. Ohana and 1900 are booked now. But I'll keep checking. The garden grill is only thing that keeps consistently coming up but I already have that. I really want chef mickeys.

You can make multiple reservations in a day but you cannot double book a time. If you already have a 2:00 reservation somewhere and you try and make another 2:00 reservation the system will ask you if you want to cancel your existing reservation. If you don't, it won't allow you to make the new reservation.

They use to allow you to log in at midnight on the day your 180 days rolled around, I think they have since changed it to 5am. In any case, I did stay up and do my reservations (and FP too when my time came) and had a pretty easy time getting dining reservations and securing my FP options. You have to be quick with Disney! I did notice that once we were there, reservations were opening up all the time at places so if you didn't luck out ahead of time, keep trying once you're down there. Chat Icon

I agree with everyone who said to keep trying. I got shut out of everything I wanted for our final night, a Friday. We were just going to hit our food court or something quick in H'wood Studios but we were able to get in at House of Blues (which I know is not a big priority but there was nothing open 180 days out!) and there were even a few times available. Good luck!

I just cancelled two reservations. One because the menu changed and my favorite dish isn't available any more, and the other because we decided to splurge on a specially ticketed event. So cancellations do happen. We are 40 days out from our trip.

The app is also awful. Why can't I just Putin my dates and see everything that's available. If something does become available I'm probably missing b/c of the 1000 steps I need to take for each day. lol. Ok venting over lol
