two questions...
How accurate are these?
And if they have the days as red or really busy but there are parks everyday that are green (or not busy) - would you still plan a trip during this time and try to go to the parks that are "not busy" on each day?
TIA

Re: Disney crowd calendar
Which site are you looking at? When are you looking to go?
Generally you want to avoid the red park and try for a green one. The red park means it will most likely be the busiest park. Usually that is bc it has an EMH, or a special event like star wars weekends, or during other times might be certain night things that run less often during slower season.
A red park could be horrible during the busiest times.. During the slowest times it might be more crowded than the other parks but still would be pretty quiet which is why timing can make a big difference.
Touringplans will often list a park as green not bc it is the best day but bc they haven't recommended it so far during the week. I look at both touring plans and easywdw.com. Then see what they recommend and don't and then see what days will work best for us.
But the problem with going strictly by the rec's is that for some it pays to get up early hit the EMH morning park, then tour a bit, leave when it starts getting crowded and go elsewhere later in the day (great if you have park hoppers) but if you don't get hoppers this park might be very crowded and not the best choice. Some hit the night EMHs but go to another park earlier on.
It pays to follow the recs if you don't have hoppers (bc if it gets really crowded you are stuck in that park) or plan to sleep in and get to the park after rope drop.
There are some major changes coming to wdw. If you plan on going soon, probably won't matter to you, but some changes might make a difference in touring and plans. For example they just dropped friday night EMH starting end of May, and through the summer. Many upset people who planned to use that night, people are speculating it is a sign of some new changes.

thanks for responding!
I was looking at undercover tourist.
Basically we have to choose between an "non busy" time but stay for a shorter amount of days or a "very busy" time but be able to be there longer.
Our choices are either Easter weekend and a few days following (our schools are back to school after Easter but it is still considered a busy week) and be able to do 5 or 6 nights or the first weekend in May when less busy but only be able to saty for 4 night

I would go for a shorter trip during a less busy time. Easter week is incredibly busy and crowded.

ITA! You will get so much more done in less time in a quiet time. Easter is crazy, parks are close or at capacity you won't be able to see and do nearly as much.
