Re: Disney - 2013 - questions
I actually just booked for the week of April 14th, 2013 today. From the 14th to the end of the month should be very low crowds and the weather is in the 80s. Hot but not crazy hot like the summer. Still pool weather. Easter is March 31st in 2013 so you need to watch out for school spring breaks. So I would still to the first week of March or the last two in April.

Re: Disney - 2013 - questions
Not sure when Fantasyland is going to be totally completed, but I think it's around there.
I just got back, went the last week of April, and that was low crowd time (Easter breaks were over). The weather was gorgeous, pool during day and sweater at night some nights. Other nights were warm.
April is a great time to go, but end of April is better re crowds.

We also just got back from disney. Late April is a perfect time! It was hot enough for the pool but not too hot in the morning. We went to the parks every morning and came back to the pools every afternoon. It was fantastic.
The next time we go, we will probably go the first week of December. It won't be pool weather but we will have all the holiday decor.

Re: Disney - 2013 - questions
Here's the new fantasyland timeline. Looks like half of the attractions will be done by summer 2012, while the rest are slated to open late 2012:
* Complete - Hundred Acre Wood facade for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh * Late March 2012 - Half of Storybook Circus with double Dumbo, Great Goofini coaster, Fantasyland Train Station * June 1, 2012 - Snow White’s Scary Adventures closes permanently to make way for Princess Fairytale Hall (last day of operation will be May 31) * July 2012 - Casey Jr. Splash and Soak Play Area, second half of Dumbo * Late 2012 - Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid ride, Be Our Guest restaurant, Beauty and the Beast village, Belle meet-and-greet, Castle wall * Early 2013 - Remaining pieces of Storybook Circus with Pete’s Silly Sideshow * Late 2013 - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train roller coaster

How did you book this? I am looking to go the same week but the site tells me that they are only booking for trips that start on or before 12/31/2012?

You can book on the phone but the price is not guaranteed until around August when 2013 package prices are released. Not sure though how far in advance you can book DVC.

Re: Disney - 2013 - questions
Right now most of Fantasyland should be done by mid to late 2013. But the snow white mine car roller coaster won't be done until 2014.

If you are a DVC owner (or renting from an owner), you can book 11 months out at their "home" resort or 7 months out at any other resort.

Packages for the following year usually come out in August, but last year they came out in June. This year things seem to be coming out earlier than usual, so I am thinking June.

Yes I'm a DVC owner. We booked a 2 bedroom theme park view at BLT so I was a crazy lady booking at exactly the time the date opened up.
