Discomfort after sonogram...
I just went in AGAIN today for blood and sono. I am on day 6 of my gonal-f injections (at a very low dose). I am definitely bloated (the nurse even told me I look bloated! ) and have a full feeling in my abdomen. I also feel a bit crampy and almost what feels like gas pains. The nurse and NP said that this is totally normal. I left there though feeling even more uncomfortable. Do you think the sonogram aggravated me a bit, causing more discomfort?
I am only on CD8 and have MANY small follies, with the largest being 9mm. I am only on 37.5 iu of gonal-f (they are being cautious and taking it slow) so I'm hoping I progress as my cycle goes on. I tend to have VERY long cycles (PCOS), so I'm still hoping for the best!

I could imagine the sono stirred things up. That's awesome about your follies. I;m on 75 and I only have one follicle.
Hope you get lots of mature follies!

I only hope that the small follies get bigger! Unfortunately, I have PCOS, and many times, they don't grow.
I was just told that I have to increase my dose to 75 iu tonight and tomorrow. I hope this bloating and discomfort doesn't get worse.
Good luck to you! Keep me posted!

Ask about your estrogen levels. If they shoot up too high too fast, you could be at risk for OHSS.

This is what I was going to say as well. See how they're doing- if they're doubling every day or what's happening--- my dr said he could kind of map where I was heading based of the fact that my estrodial was doubling every day and I Had a lot of 'mid-range' follicles.

Re: Discomfort after sonogram...
According to my blood work, I am okay. I've been going in every three days for blood and sono, so I know the doctor is monitoring me closely. He told me my levels are okay. Plus, I've only been on 37.5 iu (which is very low). I guess I'm just not used to the injections...

I guess I'll just add keep drinking fluids. It will help with the bloated and gassy feelings.
