I ordered my cards from Shutterfly also. When I uploaded my photos I thought the color looked a little off so I clicked on the picture to edit it and there's an option for saturation. I did all my pics in saturation and it made a huge difference. Maybe you can try that and see if they'll reprint them?

I once ordered a photo book from them and I disliked ONE picture. They had me take a picture of the page, upload it, and they credited me fully for the price, let me choose another picture, and get a replacement book. I got to KEEP the old one. They have GREAT customer service, so consider calling and getting replacements. It shouldn't be an issue.

Lesson learned.
definitely call them. They'll rectify it and overnight new ones to you (or 2nd day air).

uh yeah, kinda makes me feel like I should have read this an hour ago. just ordered mine too, ive always used shutterfly for everything and never had an issue either.
my birth announcements a few weeks ago came out good.

Mine came out perfect this year, as they did last year too. I use shutterfly for everything and haven't had an issue but from what i've heard they are very good about fixing something if you are not happy with it. I would definitely give them a call, it couldn't hurt!

Good to know! I ordered my Christmas cards last night. Hopefully they come out great! I LOVE shutterfly!!! My brother says their pics come out too red, but I never found that...

I would call them and let them know your card is not what you expected - tell them it came out too dark - they may let you re do the cards.
Last year we ordered from snapfish and the card was really dark, I called and they gave me my money back and I did not have to send back the bad card. I ordered a new card that came out sooo much better.

did the photo once uploaded have a little hazard icon? I've uploaded some pictures that look clear on my computer then I get the hazard which means resolution is low and not recommended to print.

I've been using snapfish and my 4x7 pics aren't that clear.
so i was thinking of ordering xmas cards from shutterfly. now idk what to do or who to order from.

I have ordered with Shutterfly the last 2 Christmas's and they came great but my prints this year have been blurry and horrible so I went with cardstore.com and got 70% off and they did a wonderful job, i think they are my new holiday card place. I don't know what Shutterfly changed this year but they need to change it back!

I am in the minority, but I use Shutterfly all the time and just received my cards last week and they look great.
Could it be the paper? They offer matte and glossy. Could that affect the color, quality, possibly?
Me too, I thought my cards came out great! I was very happy with them. I also ordered calendars and I am very happy with how they came out as well.

No. My image was VERY high in resolution... the highest possible. What you mentioned has happened to me before, but not in this case.

I had issues with Tiny Prints. I ordered a blue Christening invitation and it came out in green. They were very good about fixing it and sent me a whole new order in the correct color and did not charge me anything.
If you have any problems with their work I would call, I am sure they will fix any problem you have.

Call them our stuff always comes out perfectly BUT one time I had an issue with some cards I ordered I called them and they put a rush on it and got me new ones in like 3 or 4 days and the new ones were perfect. This years ones were fine for us though.

I would totally call them, I just ordered a mug and the writing was black on a blue background and on my computer it showed up fine (and it was their default color), but when it came in you could not see it. I called, they sent me a new one for free.
ETA: I also ordered my Christmas cards from them and they came out great. So did the prints I ordered.

I was disappointed in them, too. I called and they are sending me new cards and refunded me the $20 shipping I paid bc I wanted them 2 day shipping.
Very frustrated, loved last years card. Printing was not good this year. I ordered Matte cards on stationary paper, for $1.07 a card. UGH!!
