Disappointed

For the past few yrs I have participate din the Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk bc i lost my grandfather to it 4 yrs ago. Last summer, I also lost my uncle/god father. My family has been thru ALOT w/ these 2 losses, plus others (not to this disease however!)

Anyway, i sent my usual email to friends/family asking for donations and its AMAZING the people who sponsored me and MORE AMAZING those who didnt!!! My Dhs friends, collegues, etc, those people donated.

Yet, CLOSE FRIENDS and RELATIVES have yet to do so and the walk is in 2 wks and i feel like after 2 emails if they havent yet, theyre not going to.

I mean, pmany of my friends know what its been like to watch my 2 family members suffer and die and yet, NOTHING

I completely understand how you feel. However, don't get too disappointed yet. You might be surprised at who steps up to the plate at the last minute - those procrastinators! I hope you get the response you're waiting for

You should try again! You are really doing a great thing...sometimes people just get side tracked while checking e-mail etc. I know a lot of times when I get those things, I just save them and donate as it gets closer! People procrastinate and do things last minute!
