Didn't think I would be here....
for another few years but when Mother Nature(nurturing) calls...I listen.
I'm completely NEW to all of this...almost feel irresponsible or careless? Not sure how to describe it...
I don't even know where to start. I have AMAZING friends/family as a support system (truly Blessed) that have answered endless questions, explained a lot, but I still feel like I'm walking around in a fog (daze?)
AF is exact for me - exactly every 28 days, I'm not on BCP (haven't been for 7+ years now).
DH and I are going to start trying next month...I have no idea where to start, or is there even anything I should know?????
Now, the two things that have me scared.. 1) I haven't been to my GYN for quite a few years (Yes, I deserve to be yelled at) and there's simply no excuse except that it's one less doctor I've had in my rotation (see #2) that I need a health break from. I'm setting up an appointment (literally) tomorrow to get a check up, discuss everything, and hopefully fall in love with the Dr. that would hopefully be my OB.
2) Last year (August 2010) I found out that I have a clotting disorder. I'm grateful that I don't have to be on any meds (right now), but I'm under the care of a Hematologist and have check-ups/blood work done every 7-8 weeks. My disorder (Anti-Lupus Inhibitor) leaves me prone to clotting and miscarriages. My hemo told me to not worry until we have a reason to...and that he would work in conjunction w/my OB/GYN to ensure we work on whatever may be ahead.
I'm really trying to stay positive with everything, and I'm sure I'm going to have a million questions (I promise to search first for previous posts)...but for anyone w/a clotting disorder, be forewarned...I may become a bit latchy!
So, that's my story...and I'm excited and terrified all at the same time...if someone has a list (babymaking for dummies) I'm here!

I don't have any advice except to try and relax (it is nearly impossible) throughout everything. I would check out the pinned topic on top, it has a ton of great info!
Good luck!!!

Re: Didn't think I would be here....
Welcome! I found out I have a clotting issue also...but after two losses. I am now under the care of a hematologist and he will work hand in hand with my ob. Ni have been on a daily baby aspirin since I was diagnosed in November as well as B12 shots every other week , and on 4 times the normal dosage of folic acid ( gene mutation I don't absorb either)
Once I get pregnant and it is confirmed to be in- uterine I will be on daily shots of lovenox ( blood thinner) to try to prevent clots
If you have any questions feel free to ask
As fornthebtrying part-have fun! I use the clear blue easy digital opk ( ovulation predictor) to help time ovulation and they are impossible to misread like the line tests since it gives you a . I have a normal 28 day cycle also and typically ovulate between cd 14 and 15
Thebgirlsbon this board are super helpful! Hope your stay is shoet
