I really wish I hadn't watched that.
You have no idea how often I used to eat strawberries straight off the plant as a child.

I actually always wash any fruit I eat.. even the ones whose skin I peel off but I don;t wash strawberries that carefully.

I don't use soap but I always cut off the top with the flesh. I don't do it for bugs though, just because I don't like the texture of the top.

I haven't watched the video (afraid to) but I let my strawberries sit in a water/vinegar blend for about 10-15 minutes and then rinse/lightly scrub them.
Hope that is good enough for whatever horrible bug thing this video is showing
