with my 1st NO I passed out after I gave birth so I was 2 out of it :)
my 2nd...well I think it took a few days once we were home and all :)

Absolutely not, and the notion that I would fall inlove instantly was such a huge expectation from everyone else that I felt shamed over this for a very long time.
But, in reality, how could I fall instantly in love with someone I never met before who kept me up all night and screamed all day? It just didn't happen that way for me. i'd say by 4 months, I was completely in love with her. It's not that i didn't love her, but it was a rough adjustment for me.
Same for me.
My motherbear instincts kicked in and I wanted to protect her and provide for her needs in a way I never imagined, but I wouldn't say it was love at first sight. I had a very difficult transition dealing with a collicky baby, and dealing with the fact that my life changed forever more, in ways I wasn't exactly prepared for.
But, as her personality started to develop, somewhere in all that crying madness, I fell totally and absolutely smitten with her

i didnt remember the first time I saw her because I had passed out during my csection. So I guess not.

I don't know - the whole thing was a dream to me as I look back on it.
I think the first time I really knew it was love was when they brought him into the room the next morning.
And, now - god - I can't imagine anything better ever happening to me in this lifetime!

I did not, for sure. We had to get to know one another!  I remember thinking when I "met" her..."Who is this stranger? I don't know you!!" It wasn't at all like we'd known one another since the beginning of time like I guess I imagined it. The whole experience was quite surreal. I read birth stories on here and time after time women write that they had never known love, etc. before giving birth. I know we're all different, but sometimes I wonder if I'm missing that gene!!
I could've written this myself except most of the time I feel guilty admitting it b/c all the other moms had such a different experience.

Most definitely YES...
Although it was most poignant was definitely Caden. I fell in love with his father at first sight...so I guess the two went hand in hand.

Nope...not love at first sight...like at first site was more like it. Plus it was all so overwhelming. He was a total stranger to me and I am sure it was the same for him. But very quickly my love for him grew and it is completely unconditional. I love him with every ounce of my being and there is nothing I wouldn't do for him.
So, no - not at first sight but not too long after.
Me too. I knew I loved her but the whole experience of cihildbirth was overwhelmng.

No surprisingly not! took some time to get to know one another! did i know i loved her? YES-but was i gushing and ooohhing? no.
but i also had a touch of PPD too
today though i can hardly remember it b/c i am totally in LOVE!
