I have been in many physical altercations.

In all honesty, my first instinct is to hit when I am angry.

I pride myself on the fact that I have NEVER hit first (but always last ) and have not had a fight since my teens, but I have been OH SO TEMPTED a few times to beat the living shyt out of a few people.

Violent tempers run in my family, but I have learned to manage mine fairly well...one of the things I am proudest of.

My father taught us to always fight, to never be afraid...especially of men...no matter how big, you can still hurt them if you get the right spot.

I have also taken jiu jitsu...ha ha..I am a white belt, black stripe!

eta: I can't believe how many of you can either count the fights you've been in or that have not been in one at ALL??

Many many times.

When I was about 22 my brother let me borrow his brand new car, I was at a stop light with one car in front of me who attempted to go through the light but chickend out the last second, she had a good 20 feet between us, but she backed up so fast she ended up hitting me. I got out to survey the damage and this true typical Staten Island chick gets out yelling at me saying I moved up as she moved back. We got into an arguement and she put her finger in my face I said get your finger out of my face, 3x I told her, she didnt comply so I hauled back and punched her dead in the mouth.

She jumped back into her car yelled something and drove off

Not since first grade - a couple of meanie boys on the playground.

They wouldn't let me play second base! At that point in my life, I wasn't sure if I was right or lefty at baseball (I'm ambidextrous), so I was trying both. They weren't patient, told me to stand in right/centerish field and wait for the inning to be over.

We soon learned that I am righty at baseball...because my right hook was way stronger than my left.

I made one bleed (nose shot!) and the other threw up (Gut punch right after lunch). The principal/teacher/lunch aides never said 2 words to me...I think they liked seeing the bullies put in their place.

eta: I can't believe i forgot this one! About a year ago, i was at a Knicks game with Rich. When the game ended, the mad dash to the exits began, and Rich and I got separated. While standing in the crowd, I felt a hand on my azz....I turned my head and it was some strange drunken guy i'd never seen before. He muttered, "tiiiiiiittttttts" while staring at my chest - honestly, I'd never felt so uncomfortable...then he moved his hands up to actually TOUCH ME and I lost it. I threw my free giveaway (a bobble head!) right at his drunk face, then while he was down with his hands on his face, I kneed him in the face, punched him in the side of the head, kicked him in the shins, and he fell....topped it off with a swift kick to the nuts and I was done. The guys around me started cheering and calling me champ As soon as I found Rich and was safe on the escalator, I checked my and realized my knuckles were bleeding. Darn dry skin!

Yes a few in high school. They hit me first but as my mom always told me "They hit you first beat the $hit out of them".

I actually punched a VERY tall boy in 5th grade defending my friend.

Nope, never.

Unless you count the little fights my sis and I had when we were younger (hair pulling, pinching, etc).

I'm not sure violence is something to be prud of, but it's better then letting yourself get beat on I suppose.

I was involved in a couple of brawls...one in 7th grade in our school's hallway ( I beat the living cr@p out of a chick that was just messing with me too much), and another time in a bar...but that was a drunken brawl and I was a teenager.

Not proud of them bc I don't think getting physical solves the problem, but at that time it worked.

Yes, but that was a LONG time ago. I would not do it anymore even if I wanted to or it was deserved.

I would blame it on Youth.

I hit a kid in either 10th or 11th grade cuz he was getting on my nerves and flappin' his mouth.

So I punched him.........and I remember one of the kids in the class said "wow, nice uppercut"

When I was in junior high, I hit a mean boy over the head with my flute case on the bus....we both got kicked off the bus.
That is the extent of my fighting

I was thinking about this recently. I definitely had some tussles with my siblings. I *think* I hit a friend in 5th grade, although I can't remember if I actually hit her or just threatened to hit her.

I also slapped a girl across the face in high school because she asked to try on my pearl ring that I had just gotten for my Sweet 16 and then said she wasn't giving it back. Yeah, she gave it back.

i did slap an exboyfriend in the face once.
i was in 10th grade. he broke up w/ me to be w/ another girl. he was a senior and was getting ready to leave for college.
he told me he couldnt go away being in a relationship, but then in the same breath he told me he wanted to be w/ someone else and the girl he dumped me for went to another college several states away.
go figure....

so i slapped him across the face.

For a second I thought I was going to be able to tease Rick that you slapped him.

I just started to LOL at this post cause yes I did hit someone and I have to say it was Diana1215!! BUT it was by mistake!
We were out one night @ a bar and my ex bf was talking to his ex gf and I went up to her and started with her I was drunk and tried to hit her but Diana was trying to break it up and by accident I hit her instead!!!! Good times
