Did u see OBGYN after having baby?
Just curious....I remember my doc saying they would call to make an appt around 6wks.
They havent.
Do I have to?
Esp cause I plan on going back on BC...I guess I should but no AF yet. Should I wait for that to come 1st?

Call and make an appt with them. You should be rechecked 6-8 weeks after giving birth.

I had to make an appt for 6 weeks after the baby was born, they checked to see how i was healing and i got the bc there as well..i would call and make the appt if you get af you can always cancel and reschedule hth

its been 4 wks since i had my baby, but I actually justed called to make my 6 wk checkup apptmt.
i had a tought time healing, still use that great squirt bottle they give you, so i need to make sure i'm healing ok.

I had to make an appt for a check-up at 2 weeks and then again at 6 weeks.

I called to make the 6 week apt also. I went on BC at that appointment, but I had already had my first AF.

I had a c-section, so I went back already 1 week after the surgery. I also will go back again for my internal at 6 weeks.
I'd call the office & let them know you should have made the appt.

I called them to make the appt. edited to say I have seen him twice allready since giving birth in dec, 6 weeks pp and my last visit was an exam, now I dont have to see him for a year unless I get pg again

I called them to make the appt for 6 weeks after. They then had me make an appt for 6 months for my pap/yearly checkup.

The reason for the six week appt is to make sure your cevix is closed. I would never wait for a dr's office to call me for an appt. They get soo busy!

I was checked a week after c-section and then had another appt after 6 weeks...at which we discussed birth control, etc
