Did I break buffet etiquette?

But I held them with a napkin and when I got to the bread, I already crumbled up the napkin

OMG. I have not laughed THIS hard at a post in a LONG time.

I have to say I'm not getting the germaphobe thing in general.

Take the innocent tongues. They are there for your enjoyment and amusement. Now, I can understand about thinking about ALL the people who pee'd and then didn't wash their hands, or piked their noses and didn't wash their hands, or srapped food of their teeth and didn't wash their hands....

......oh wait.....

But I can't IMAGINE germs can "live" on tongues, can they?
