Did everyone get a stroller at their shower or as a gift before?
Just curious...because we didn't..we'll be buying it on our own.

My MIL bought the stroller, the car seat, the crib, the crib mattress and a sleuth of other misc. items before the shower.....

I didnt get mine.
i registered for a travel system and it was 279.00. It was the most expensive thing on my registry, but pretty much the only thing i had to buy.

Yes. My sister and my mother purchased it for me.
My MIL also bought it and had it sent to us, but for some reason it wasn't marked as purchased on my registry We returned hers (we got it after the other) and used the $199 credit to buy other things that we needed.

we got our stroller off our registry and given to us before the actual shower. good thing because we had absolutely no room left in our car going home after the shower.

I registered for 2 - I hope I get at least one! I am only expecting around 25 ppl and I am nervous I won't get much. My parents have already bought my crb and beddng and a bunch of other stuff so I dont expect anything from them and both my ILs are deceased  So not sure who is going ot buy the big stuff for me.

So far Dh and I have purchased everything for baby ourselves (crib, glider, etc).
I didn't get tons of stuff off my registry when I got married, so I have a feeling the same will happen. We really don't have family that will give us a lot, so I am expecting that big ticket items will be bought by us. So far MIL hasn't even bought a bib for baby, and I don't have a relationship with my parents. So we'll see how it goes.

Listen, I am NOT flaming you, but just because you have a registry doesn't mean that people are going to or have to buy off of it. Some of the best stuff I got at my shower I would never have thought to register for, or I registered for something different.
Yeah, it is great when people buy off your registry, but a gift should be appreicated for the sentiment, not because you picked it vs. the gift buyer purchasing it.

Well, I think people have a tendency to buy things that may have worked well for them/their sister/best friend, etc. As annoying as that may be, usually that is why people don't buy off the registry.
Also, I've noticed that older generations, unless they want to get something specific (like the stroller, car seat, etc) don't even like registries.
Like I said, you will get everything you need, and if you don't, I am sure you will get gift cards to help. And you can always return
