......for a specific time of year to get pregnant because they wanted to deliver during a certain time?

No, not me> It wasn't easy for me to get pregnant, so I would take any due date I could get! I got lucky and am having a May baby. I think it is the perfect time to have a baby

We waited to TTC until late last spring/early summer because I am a teacher and we wanted to take advantage of the summer as part of the maternity leave.

Sure I did. My plans were just plans and didnt work. My second pregnancy would have been ideal - I was due to deliver in the middle of May. I would have stopped work for 6 weeks til the end of June, not worked summer school and come back in September. NOW, I have to come back mid-year. It will be a disaster.

Nope. It just happened for us unexpectedly. Since I am not a teacher, or in a seasonal type of job, it doesn't make a difference as far as timing goes. I am so thrilled though that I am having a March or April baby - just in time for spring and I don't have to be pregnant in the summer!

we just started trying in sept. and i got my bfp in a lil over a month. we didnt plan out a specific time, i didnt really know how long it would take for me to get pregnant. i was hoping that i would get a bfp by oct or so the latest, so the baby would be born in the summer months while the kids are out of school, so i wouldnt have to worry about getting them ready and ride them to school, so i happy it worked out that we are having a summer baby!

We wanted to avoid me being pregnant/delivery around the Christmas season because it's a really bad time for me at work. I happened to have been lucky and was only in my first trimester during the holiday season and will be delivery in the summer - plenty of time for me to recover and get back to work.
But, we decided during the TTC process that ultimately what's meant to be will be and work will just have to deal. I decided in the process that I didn't want to my life to be put on hold because of a job.

i always wanted to be PG during the summer and it just worked out that way - we started TTC after the wedding, we weren't trying to have the baby in any particular month.

Yes. I really wanted a summer baby - especially being that both DH & I are winter babies.
The plan was to start in September and if we weren't pregnant by March (b/c I did not want a December baby - we're 12/22 & 12/24  ), we'd take a break. Thankfully, we got pregnant the first month...and are expecting the little one in June

We "planned" on a spring or summer baby. SO we started to wing it in August & were prenant in Septemer............adn am due in June.
For us it worked................but for SO MANY it doesn't.

I did not with my DS. We would like to have another child and since my first child is a winter baby, I would like to have spring/summer baby the second time if possible. I have soooo many 0-3 month outfits that I never got to put on my DS because they were all short sleeves!

I stopped the pills in March...thinking I'll get pregnant sometime in the fall and have a summer baby....
It took 14 months for me to get pregnant and its a blessing because in reality..I don't think I can handle a summer pregnancy.

No, we just started trying when we we thought we would be ready for a pregnancy. Glad we didn't put too much into a plan - we started late Aug 06 and I'm due this month (after 1 miscarriage in that time).
ETS: I would like to add that now is a great time for us and it does make me a greater believer in things happening/timing happening for a reason.

We planned on trying in Fall 2007 to have a spring summer baby, as both DH and I are winter babies and wanted our DC to be born in warmer weather.
However we got pregnant unexpectedly and had a Christmas 2007 baby! It was perfect either way! And I am so excited for the summer now because I will have an interactive and excited 6+ month old to share the time with!
Anytime you have a baby is perfect no matter the season!

I just didn't want to go through the summer at the end of my pregnancy. I am always really warm and I knew I would be completely miserabe if I was at the end of my pregnancy in the summer. I was lucky and got pg the 1st month trying and ending up having a baby in january....perfect for me. If it took me longer to conceive I might not have cared when the baby was born.

we didn't really think about that... we mainly thought about timing with our careers...
ideally, I'd want a pisces baby (I'm a pisces)... and I actually think a summer baby isn't too fun, mainly becuase DC would have all the friends away at camp when the B'day party is being celebrated.
Sept baby is fine with me! It's still warm out, and the kids are back from camp...
reality is, I don't REALLY care what due date I have.... Like everyone else,all we REALLY want is a healthy happy
