Did anyone really not eat that much for their entire pregnancy?
I know I'm still only at 12 wks, and still feeling the effects of M/S, but I really just can't see myself eating that much for this entire pregnancy...
I feel I get fuller sooner, and forget about any junk food - I eat 1 cookie, and I can't look at anpther one for days.... I was never a big junk food eater to begin with, and I know I really will never need more than 300-500 extra calories a day, but I was wondering - did anyone else feel that thru their entire pregnancy they pretty much ate the way they always did pre-pregnancy?

I ate a LOT in the beginning, but mostly pasta and bagels. I couldn't eat sweets either...they just seemed way too sweet for me.

No, opposite so far.
Consider urself lucky (not the m/s part of course)....You arent going to gain any major weight.
Just try to eat the right things for your baby.

For me it varies - sometimes I get full really fast and sometimes I make a total pig out of myself.

Oh, I also wanted to add that although I ate a lot in the beginning, my appetite has slowed down drastically since the middle of my second trimester.

I pretty much eat the same as I did pre-pregnancy. (Not including during my period of m/s) There are days where my appetite is insatiable but they are few and far between.

Just wait! I was similiar to you at the way beginning and third trimester all of your taste buds come back. Thats when you will gain it the most. I gained 4 pounds total up until week 26 then week 30 I gained 6 pounds in 1 month...it all catches up. Maybe it wont be a 40+ total pregnancy but most land about 25-35.

During my pregnancy with my son- I lost so much weight in the 1st trimester due to m/s. I never fully regained my appetite back. Everyone was always trying to feed me. My in laws are as Italian as it gets! My pre-pregnancy weight was 128 and my weight right before I delivered was the same. I had lost the weight and just gained it back. This pregnancy- I wasn't nearly as sick, and I have already lost a lot of weight. I just have no appetite. It's very strange because when I am not pregnant, I am addicted to food!

So far I am 19 weeks and my appetite hasn't spiked for longer than a day. Sometimes I get hungry and want a lot of something but it is something that would have happened before pg so it doesn't go on and on.
My thought for me is that I think before I ate too much and if I had cut my diet a bit, I could have lost some weight. Now, since I haven't changed my diet, it may just be the right amount of food for me and baby.

no appetite till about 16 weeks...then it came with a force. I had missed eating so much.
