i can see your point! but i just think that there are greedy people vs non greedy ... i would just be happy standing up there in fame for 1hr, winning ANY kind of money.. and for me.. 25,000 is alot.. i would never be stupid and risk a great amount of money...but thats just me.. i would also pick the people to be there with me, that wont drive me into saying "no deal" i want them to support me and play smart! you have to pick the right people!!
Yes, 25k is a lot, but 100k is a lot more, and 200k is even more..... when you have that opportunity, I can see how it's hard to walk away from more money.
Often, saying "no deal" IS the smart answer. I play very mathematically, and there is a point when it makes sense, mathematically, to keep going, and a point when it doesn't make sense. Unfortunately, people let emotion and excitement get the better of them, and just see the dollar signs, and forget about logic.

The thing is she DID pick a very good person, one of her friends/sorority sisters was a former contestant on the show and kept telling her to TAKE the deal!!!!!!! This woman went home with a lot of $$ when she was on so you know she knew what she was doing!!
I couldn't believe it when her case only had the $1,000 but then it's $1,000 more than she walked in with so I don't feel too bad for her!!

Re: Did anyone just see Deal or No Deal??
The cynic in me says that the show is totally bogus. I feel the "contestants" are paid actors and the show is a sham. There was an interview with Howie Mandell wayyyy before the show started and he had mentioned that he was going to be hosting a show that's gonna "punk" all it's viewers. I think this is the one. It is wayyy too scripted and sooooo cheesy that I really can't believe it is "real".
