My DS is 18 months and loves to sit on the potty (although he's never gone on it.) He tells us right before he poos and when he poos but never when he pee pee's. Everyone tells me boys potty train later than girls. My DD was fully trained at 2 1/2. She did it on her own (meaning we didn't prompt it.)

Just wondering if he's going to want to train early. Although I don't mind diapers at all. Sometimes I find it easier!!

My son is 26 months and he wear underwear and is almost potty trained. He is better during the day at daycare, then he is at home.

He showed interest early (like your son) in the potty. We never discouraged it. If it wasn't for daycare though, I don't know if we would have went full force. They are great with him.

Jayden was potty trained (day) shortly after he turned 2. We're still working on night training, he still wears a diaper. He'll be 3 in March.

I totally let him determine when he was ready. I think the fact that he saw Nate going made him want to go. Nate was closer to 3 when he was trained.

Noah trained early because he wanted to emulate his big brother. It sounds like your DS is doing the same... but since your DD sits to pee he may need a little push to stand!

My DS in 2 yrs 3months old. He has been 100% poopy trained for a while now. Like your son, he started on his own early on, with wanting to sit on the potty. PeePee is harder for me. He goes to day care 3 days and grandmas 2 days a week, so there is a consistency factor against us. But just this past week he has told me he has to pee pee, but there is little time to get to the potty.....seems like it will be soon though, who knows! I kind of follow his lead, since he has done so well so far, and I think I am just happy I don't have to deal with poopy diapers, LOL

Josh was potty trained (day) after he turned 2. We're not working on night training, he still wears a diaper bc he drinks 8 oz pediasure before bed. He'll be 3 in May.
he led the way with potty training and we followed and rewarded.
