My parents in didn't. My grandma lost it for a couple of hours and my aunt&uncle lost for 5 hours on Sunday. All in East Meadow.
My ILs didn't lose power on Roosevelt Island.

My fathers girlfriend lives in Melville and she never lost it.

I have 2 friends in Rocky Point, about 5 mins. from each other.
1 lost it for a few hours on Sunday and one is still powerless.

I went to PT in Plainview tonight and overheard people talking that they live in Plainview (near Old Country Rd) and they never lost it.

We're in Islip just north of Main St. and didn't lose it. My brother is Islip just north of Moffit and didn't either, but my cousins off of Commack Rd. lost it for a couple of days.

My parents live in Bay Shore and lost it for 4 days. DH's parents lost it for 3 days and they live in East Meadow.

Forest Hills never did. Lots of restaurants here. Unless it's too far from you.

Hauppauge, we were totally fine. However, 1 block over was out until this evening! Tree down.

eta: ILs are still out in Kings Park. Thank God for Andersens and their generator - I think they had the only coffee in town on Sunday and Monday! LOL

I never did in Holbrook

I can't imagine there was ever a time where the ENTIRE Island had no power.

I guess I should have posted did any towns not lose power - not wondering about the few houses here and there but, rather entire areas that didn't lose power.

I think most of my area did not. The stop n shop i go to never lost it either- also in holbrook.
A lot of people i know in holbrook did not- but i can't vouche for the whole town

I'm in Holbrook too and never lost it!

We are in Ronkonkoma, North of the LIE, we lost power Sunday at 5pm for about 2 hours.

And we're about half a mile apart, and I never had more than a 1 second glitch a few times.... it really depends on a large number of variables.

Depending on where the damage occurred, a tree could take out power to only one house, or a thousand houses.....

I think they turned us off to work on the lines, however the blocks to the right and left of us are still in the dark

I am in Bethpage and we didn't lose power-thank god! Our power lines kept sparking through the storm but luckily the transformer didn't blow. I hope they are able to restore power to all of LI soon.
