diarrhea- newborn?
Laila's last two poops were extremely watery, and looked like diarrhea. She had one like this the other day. These looked very different from her normal bowel movements.I left a message with the dr, and waiting for him to call back.
I know I read it's very rare for an EBF baby to get diarrhea but I'm nervous. These were VERY watery and not like her usual poops. Is this normal? Can an EBF get diarrhea? Im nervous.
Oh, and she will be 2 weeks tomorrow.

Re: diarrhea- newborn?
Are there any other symptoms of anything else? If not then you are most likely OK I would think.
BUT I'd give a call to the ped just incase.... since she's so young.
Since she's EBF it's probably from that. Breast milk has a natural laxative in it. But you could always call just to be safe.

Re: diarrhea- newborn?
My DS is EBF and his are usually pretty watery. I guess though if your DD's are different that normal you would want to check it out

Re: diarrhea- newborn?
No other symptoms. She seems fine..napping right now, dont think she has a fever (no signs of it), but I can check when she wakes up.
Before it looked like she was having some tummy pains, and then she had the two poops that looked different.
Her poops are mushy and a little watery, but this was like a pool of watery liquid in her diaper...
Just waiting for the dr to call me back..
