Diapers - so many choices! which do you use for your newborn?

With DD I started out with Pampers, but she got a terrible rash, so switched to Huggies and she was fine, around 1.5 switched to Luvs and they worked great, she was potty trained by 20 mo.
Fast forward 5 years later and they have soooo many options, they have different Pampers - sensitive, regular, swaddlers... Same with Huggies.
We used Pampers sensitive (I think they are swaddlers) first 4 weeks, they are more $ than regular, DS got little irritated skin, but not bad, then I started using regular pampers swaddlers last week and now he has a terrible diaper rash. Plus I hate the smell of Pampers.
Yesterday I went to Target to get Huggies and I was overwhelmed, I didn't know which one to get , so I decided to go home and do some reasearch, lol. later yesterday my friend came over and brought Huggies little snugglers, they seem ok but they seem so thick , haven't used one yet.
So which diapers do you use ?

I am not much help but i did not like pampers swaddlers as they leaked alot. We have used Pampers baby dry since about 2 weeks old and never and problems at all. No leaks no diaper rashes etc.

We used pampers swaddlers when they were still in premie size and for a bit in NB. We use loves because they are the cheapest at BJS. They also happen to work great for us. I have also used the target brand.

I used Pampers Swaddlers in the beginning, then went over to Pampers Cruisers and eventually settled on Target brand diapers..........they were awesome and SO much cheaper. I used Huggies Overnights for bedtime.

Honestly its all about trial and error and what works best for your LO. We use pampers swaddlers and have had no issues. I originally planned to use huggies (i had 5 boxes of them from my shower) and he leaked through every single time. I have heard a lot of good things about target diapers so you may want to look into those as well.

I used pampers sensitive and swaddlers with DS. Made the mistake of buying baby dry and he got a HORRIBLE rash from them. Tried huggies.but he leaked out all the time. Luvs had baby dry too, so they were a no go. I started using Target diapers and love them. When he started sttn I tried huggies overnights and they were okay but then I found diaper doublers in babies r us and used them with the Target diapers and they work great!! (Except the price recently went up, but they're still cheap)

With DC#3 coming in January I plan on using the pampers sensitive in the beginning and then going right to the Target diapers. Price wise they are great!!

We use pampers sensitive swaddlers and have had no issues. DD is 7 weeks.

We use Pampers Swaddlers. We tried Huggies because I had a bunch from my work shower, but they have leaked several times, so now daycare is just finishing up what I gave them. I have had no problems with the Swaddlers. It all depends on what fits each child's body the best.

We used pampers swadllers until recently. I ran out of the pampers stash that my MIL had built up for us. I am using Target and they have been fine...but def not as soft as Pampers

In the beginning I had so many from gifts and the hosptial- so I used whatever I had.
Mainly pampers from the hosptial and gifts
When we finally had to buy our own I tried Luvs and I LUV them.
Been using ever since- never had an issue and they were even cheaper than the BJ's, Costco and Target brands.

I do use Huggies overnights though

We've used the Pampers Swaddlers -Sensitive and we haven't had any problems yet. I mean, he has had maybe like a handful of occasions where poop went up his back but that would've happened no matter what diaper.

I've heard good things about the Costco brand and we were given a free sample last time we were there and they held up well but I just didn't like how they weren't as soft as the Pampers.

There really are SO many choices now, its crazy.

Always been loyal to Pampers, first Swaddlers, then the Cruisers (I did not like the Baby Dry!). When my older two kids were potty training, I used Luvs and thought they were fine.

I do not like Huggies at all. And I tried a few store brands and they were awful! That's why I stay loyal to Pampers! I just buy when I get a good deal! Worth it to me!

12 months and up Huggies, Luvs, target brand!!

2-2.5 Luvs the best

I've used pampers swaddlers from the very beginning... Never really thought to switch.... I buy through amazon and don't think the price is all that bad... Maybe because we're still on 2's...

I used Pamper Swaddlers for NB and 1/2 through size1. I switched to Baby Dry and have been with them ever since. They don't seem to leak that much for us. They are cheaper than the Swaddlers as well. I heard good things about Luvs; may try them out.

Pampers swaddlers it was the one they used in the nicu so I just continued using them

pampers NEVER worked for us.. she'd pee right through. She would scream when she was wet in pampers but only just fuss in huggies so I felt they absorbed better.

Then I went onto Walmart Parent's Choice brand

I used pampers for newborn size because I got so many as hafts and from the hospital and then switched to LUVS once we ran out of NB. I use them for my 11 week old and my 2 year old twins. We've had no problem.

At the newborn stage we were using whatever we got from the baby shower / as gifts - which were mostly Pampers swaddlers.

From about 4 months on, we have been using Pampers cruisers and only had maybe one or two leaks over night.

Every baby is different so it may take a few switches to figure out which works best.

huggies Naturals for us until he outgrew them. I like that they didn't have a diaper smell and had organic cotton and aloe.


Once he hit size 5 I switched to Huggies. They work great for us and I'm very pleased with the quality.l
