we have an elite and a regular and actually find the regular to be better at keeping smell contained though its so much smaller.

We have two, one upstairs and one downstairs, and love them! The refills do add up though.

We have the elite. Fine for pee pee diapers but gets really stinky once we transitioned from BM to real food.

We have the Elite (I think but not sure the difference.). We like it but the refills are pricey. DD is 6 months and we have prob spent $100-150 on the refills already ugh. Sucks that they are so pricey and you go through them like crazy when u change diapers 6-8x a day. We have to empty it 2 or 3x a week! HTH
ETA - it does keep the smell out! Unless there are many many poopy diapers in there. Otherwise her room stays pretty fresh!

We have a diaper genie 2 in our living room.
You can't smell it unless there was some poop that got on the plastic insert part. Then, you smell it until you refill insert.
I don't have the elite, but from the display in the store, I imagine it's pretty similar.

This. Usually we just keep wet diapers in there and move the poop ones right out to the trash.

We had the regular and used it in our room when they were in there but got the elite for their room. We didnt know the diff but the elite is SOO much better. It has a foot pedal to open. And its bigger which we needed. Mine just began food but I really dont notice a smell unless someone doesnt wrap the diaper properly or its very full and cant fit down the slot all the way.

we have the elite in DS' room, where his changing pad is. But we only put pee diapers in there, we throw the poop diapers straight into the trash outside the house because I find that you can still smell it even if its in the diaper genie
