DH wants your opinion
DH and I are thinking about redoing the only bathroom in our house. We both like stand up showers (tiled) but the bathroom is way too small for both a tub (what we have now) and a shower.
So I'm like, man that stinks....lets go look at tubs
My DH says that we should put a stand up shower in our only bathroom and forget about the tub all together. When asked about kids, he says that we can buy a kiddie pool, use a sink, or keg tub and put it into the shower.
What you you think?

DH and I went through the exact same thing and I also did a poll, only on LIW  We both like stand up showers but I felt that our neighborhood is mainly families and it would hurt us in resale.
Most people that answered my poll agreed and Dh eventually gave in.
we still haven't gotten around to it though! Not with baby on the way.

I think you def need a tub. They outgrow the infant tub, but use a regular tub for a long time. At almost 3, DD will take a shower every now and then with us- but it's mainly baths.

Definitely a tub. We re-did our bathroom a little over a year ago. One piece of advise I will pass on about a tub- don't put in show doors. When you are leaning in the tub washing them, the door and frame will be in your way.

Agreeing with what everyone else is saying...you need a tub in the bathroom. DD was in the tub by about 7 months becasue even though she still FIT in the baby tub, she was splashing everywhere and soaking...so we started by putting the baby tub inside the big tub, then big tub alone which was from about a year all through about 5 years old. Only at 5 did she really switch over to mostly showers. A tub is a necessity!

We are in the middle of a reno for that exact reason (and it sucks! Lol). I would def. do a tub. Its just more practical.

Our bathroom only has a shower and with my dd its awful!!!!!!!!! We are currently planning on construction to take away a closet so we can fit a tub in bathroom. Defiently get a tub!

Don't remember being a kid and taking bubble baths?? Soooooo much fun! I love bubble baths now and miss them terribly! We also only have a shower stall and we will be doing a reno for exatcly this purpose.
