DH going for......
his to make a deposit for this SA.....How many of your husbands were okay with doing it? Any issues?

DH went today and he was not impressed. Said if he ever has to do it again, he'd ask if he could do it at home and bring it to the lab.
I feel awful that he even had to go for an SA at all.

My DH had MAJOR problems agreeing to do this... we ended up going to the andrologist and getting a specific condom so we could just BD and get his sample that way. It was much easier and we were still able to get it there w/in the time frame allowed...

Dh was not happy about it. He's now had to do this twice (not to mention the 6 IUI's and 1 IVF cycle deposits). Though for the SA he was much cooler than our first IUI. But, then I remind him that he's got the easy part and I'd trade places in a second etc... that usually shuts him up and has him stop complaining. I think the hard part, if you bring it from home, is actually trying to get into the office at the scheduled time (I mean certain things do not work like clock work, if you know what I mean). Anyway, when it comes to doing SA and stuff I try not to be pushy or talk about it too much. I find that gets him wacky. It does stress me out b/c I cannot control this part of it.

he hasn't done it yet. He needs to get going on it..
I brought it up a few times, but I will just leave the paper out on the table for a reminder.
Jeez, what if we have to do inseminations a lot..he won't be happy but as some of you say, that's the easy part.

I guess I was lucky......my DH never hesitated and never complained about either the SA or the IUI. He said he was fine with doing whatever was necessary for us to get pregnant.

ditto, in fact dh had to give an SA in one of the most UNPRIVATE bathrooms in a drs office...I had to go in with him...we couldn't stop laughing, I had tears running down my face....

DH had no issues at all with providing samples for SA or IUI. Thank goodness because I had enough stress and things to worry about.

No problem at all.. In the beginning he even made jokes when he came out. He always makes all the nurses laugh.. Well after about 20 deposits he is not laughing anymore.. Its so sad

I have to say my DH has been wonderful about everything. He not only did his first SA after only 6 months and soon after went in for surgery. He's been a trooper and wants this as much as I do. I feel very lucky!

When he went for his SA, DH had to work that day so he had to give sample at the office. He hated it!!
But for our IUI's we've been able to "collect" the sample at home and bring it with us. He likes that much better!!
