DH doesn't want to officially try anymore...

He thinks this is stressing us out too much. He might be right.

He thinks I only want to have sex when I'm o'ing. I thought that was the point of "trying" but he feels I am just using him for that now.

So I think we are sort of done for now, which is sad, but it's not like trying has been successful anyway, so.... Chat Icon

TTC can definitely take it's toll on a relationship.

Sorry to be so forward, but how is your sex life when it comes to non-baby-making time?

Re: DH doesn't want to officially try anymore...

The first 3-5 months of TTC my DH didn't want to "actively" try. He didn't want to know anything about OPK's or timing or anything like that. It was too much pressure and he felt "used". I completely understood and just initiated BD when I knew it was on the "better" days. We had a pretty active BD schedule as it was so it wasn't necessary for me to tell him about "o".
Now, that it hasn't happened for us yet, he takes a more active role in TTC - he wants all the details, goes to the dr's appt's with me, tells me I better not be too tired because we need to try the next 3-4 days in a row, etc.

Just figure out what works for the both of you. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Aw, I know what you mean. DH has said this to me more than once! We "took a break" but I always knew my O time and made sure we BD'd on those days!

Good luck, hopefully this "break" will be what you need.

We're in the early months of TTC, and I'm currently using the same method. I ended up missing my window last month because it would have seemed too forced. I was sad at the time, but as I look forward I feel better that I didn't.

My DH also works many late nights. So I can only expect to BD 1x once I get my surge. I accept that it will possibly take longer and am working at keeping the BDing enjoyable in the mean time. (Yes, there are moments that I feel frustrated and feel like I'll never get PG- but they pass pretty quickly.)

I also hope that you can find something that works for both of you. Chat Icon

This guy knows my cycles better than I do!

Chat Icon MAM - to answer your question, our sex life has been so Chat Icon Chat Icon lately because we are so busy and tired.

The fact that all of a sudden I've been so peppy and raring to go on certain days p isses him off.

We talked tonight - he said he wants to take a few months off, and I think I do too. I would like to figure out what the hell is wrong with me anyway that AF decided to not really show herself!!!

I think everyone who has been TTC for a while goes through these things from time to time. At least you are both in agreement to take time offChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
