DH car hit-where can I find inexpensive mirror
My poor DH's car was hit while he was at work (he parks on the street). Tomorrow is his birthday and he sounds so down in the dumps now. He says the mirror costs $300. It's a 2004 Honday CR-V. Anyone know where I can get this part for less??? I would be so grateful!

A "junkyard" would probably have a suitable mirror. Try looking under scrap metal or scrap yard in the yellow pages.

I believe there is a "junkyard" in Bethpage on Hempstead Tpke. if you're anywhere near there.

Ebay.
We had the same issue for our 2003 Jeep Liberty. We got a mirror that is perfect.
ETA: Not that there is anything wrong with a junkyard, but I know we couldn't do this because the mirror had to have special wiring so that it could be moved from inside the car and we couldn't find that at a junkyard.

Defenitly try a junk yard first you might find one real cheap. Call all the different junk yards in the area.

I don't know if the area suits you, but there are a bunch of auto repair shops across from Shea Stadium that can fix anything for dirt cheap

someone broke my sideview mirror last year... i got the same quote (over $300) from the dealer.... got it form Ebay for $40 (incl shipping) and my DH's friend installed it.
Definitely check ebay!!!!
