DH brought up getting another cat
I don't know how I feel about this. I lost my Figaro a year and a half ago and I still miss him. I look at the cats and kittens when we go to petsmart and I always said that if one fell into my lap, I wouldn't say no but to go out and get one, I don't know.
Right now we have....
2 greyhounds - both 10 years old this year
1 cat - 6 years old
1 four year old son
10 month old twins
Am I crazy to add a cat to our family? Should we wait? If we go for it, where should we go? Petsmart, little shelter??All of our pets were adopted pre-skin kids so it wasn't a difficult decision. I guess I'm just thinking out loud here. I was really surprised DH mentioned it.

We've been thinking about that ourselves and have:
18 month old twins
3 cats
1 dog
If we DO decide to do it, we will adopt a kitten because I feel it will be most adaptable to our household. I don't think an older cat would do well.
We got our dog from Bide-a-wee and they had a ton of kittens.

Ok, good - so I'm not crazy!!!! Or, at least, we're both crazy!!!
I really wanted to adopt an older cat but I agree, a kitten would be most adaptable. I just feel bad for all the older cats.

I think you both are awesome!
I have 2 dogs and 1 baby. I can't have cats, DH is very allergic. But I can't imagine taking on another pet right now. Maybe down the line....

Same here..all i have are 2 dogs & a DH and that's enough for me  Our second dog came into our life in an unexpected way...although we always talked about getting a 2nd..i think you will know when and if you are ready..it'll just feel right...

Dog Maverick-2 yrs
Me preggo due in Dec
We need some more animals!
I think it is great to another kitty in to care for!

I would get another kitty. Just make sure you get one that would be ok with the other animals.
My vet has kittens and adopts them out. That's where I got Izzy and Bella. They are happy well adjusted kitties.
