DH and the RE....
My DH is coming with me to the RE next week. It will be my first appointment.
Out of curiosity though, how many people have their DH come with them to the first appointment? I assume everyone's DH doesn't come to EVERY appointment  or am I wrong..

DH came with me to the first one. We went over our medical history, ordered DH's sperm analysis and went over our course of action.
Definitely good to have him there!

My DH came to only a handful of RE appts with me however, once we were pregnant with my DD he did come to EVERY single RE and OB visit where we had a sonogram!!

I did everything over the phone and reported back to him-Dr. B.
ETA-Once I was PG-every sono until we found out the sex and any important appointments.

DH came with me to the very first appointment and I'm glad I had him with me. They asked us some questions on medical history and such.
I went by myself for bloodwork because I didn't think he needed to be there. I will also go by myself for my Day 3 bloodwork which should be at some point next week.
I will have him come with me if I need any other testing done there after. It's nice to have someone to help you calm down (if that's how you are- I know I need him there to say..RELAX!)

Yes, my DH came to my first appt but I've been going for all the bloodwork with either my Mom  or alone.

I am also have my 1st appointment next week and DH is coming with me. Unless he is really unable to come I am sure he'll want to be at every appt.

DH did not come to any RE appoitments with me. I didn't see a reason for him to. Plus, you end up going to so many that it would be impossible to schedule them around 2 people.
He did come to the IUI's.

same here. DH hasnt come to any appointments with me. i never even thought twice about it.
but im one of those mega independent people and DH sometimes just slows me down so i prefer to do most things on my own unless it is 100% necessary that he's there. i never even asked if he wanted to come with me.
he's done the SA and we are doing a different semen test this week, so he does what he needs to do.

My DH was required to be at the first appointment with me. The RE wanted to go through both of our medical histories. They took blood from both of us and DH had to set up an appointment for a SA to be done before they would come up with any treatment plan for us.

I had DH come to the first appt. Most of the blood work I have done on my own. Except the one test which involved a lot of blood work.. (i had him come just incase i got dizzy)
