what is a good area to look into ? i can use any help you all can give to these first time buyers.T.I.A

OOOH new house buyers...If you want my help, let me know. I found the house DJ Pill is buying and I have helped many other people on this site find a house.
For first time buyers I would recommend Levittown, Wantagh, N wantagh, Bellmore, Merrick, Bethpage and Seaford

i was thinking maybe looking in bohemia, holtsville, soundbeach,millerplace, rockypoint, and if we can swing it mount sinai. those other areas are to far from my job scott thanks anyway.

Ohhhh if you are looking that far out in Suffolk I feel like you will have alot more choices. I LOVE Rocky Point! My family has owned summer home there for years but its too far to commute to the city.

There are a lot of nice homes in the Sound Beach/Rocky Point areas - I drive past there everyday.

My two SILs and my MIL and FIL all live in Rocky POint. It's a really cute area and they love it. If we were looking to buy that woul dbe one of the places we'd look (but we already have a house in Northport). Miller PLace is a little espensive.

Do you have any idea of the price range you want to stay in, and how much you can pay in taxes? It's easy to do a search on MLSLI for a school district and price once you decide what you can spend. Good luck!
