Here is my thought on logos, whether it's a bag, sneakers, a shirt, etc. Now, everything has a tag on it somewhere or insignia that indicates who made it. Kind of no escaping that. But when the item has full on logo action going on, it's like giving free advertising to the company. So essentially, you are spending hundreds of dollars to save the company THOUSANDS of dollars to advertise. To me, it's silly.

No logo. It used to be a discreet stamp or tag but not it's all over. I think Coach is probably the worst with this.
I don't pay $$$ to be a walking advertissment. And I don't feel the need to show up I have an expensive bag by having logos all over. If you know your stuff, you can spot a designer bag without having logos all over. A gorgeous bag, you can see the quality, the style, line of the bag. That's what makes a bag.
I see no difference with a logo all over and leaving the price tag on. Look at me... I have a XXXXX bag.
Of course, not everyone buys a logo bag to show off but a lot of people do.

I didnt like logo bags yet I ended up getting one because the designer and style are classic. I know some people dont like my bag but I dont care I do and I can afford it. I dont like coach bags though. I think some logos are classic and others are not. So it depends.

I have to agree. Especially with LV. They always have had their logos on their product. It's their trademark.

My preferences have changed over time. I used to have Coach logo bags but now I prefer the plain leather ones. My everyday bag for law school and work is a plain black leather Coach tote. I do have some signature accessories like a wristlet and cosmetic case i use inside larger bags.
I do still use logo LV bags though -- I have a speedy 25, 30 and a mono pochette that I bought a few years ago but still use regularly. I also have some vernis pieces that are monogrammed but much more subtly.
On a whole, I prefer leather bags now to monograms but I did just buy a gucci purse I had been lusting over for years (finally found one on ebay, waiting for it to arrive in the mail!) and it has a black-on-black monogram on it.

I never thought of logos as free advertising. LOL I am the s*cker they are looking for, I guess. 
I only buy Coach though, I am too cheap for anything else. LOL

I don't mind logos. I have several bags that are Coach that do not have logos on them. I also have several LV bags, but only 2 monogram bags, the others are epi (all leather) and damier (checkerboard). They are recognizable as LV, but it's not too much. I never thought of it as free advertising. I doubt someone would purchase a bag just b/c they saw me carrying it.

but I just happen to love a certain type of Gucci bag which I cannot afford in all leather (a few thousand). so I may just buy it... or not... still on the fence, just b/c of the logos
