Re: dehumidifyer...

looking for one myself. Lowe's has the fridgidaire for sale for $200. That's the 50 pint.

I'm going to check out the reviews.

We have been using the Kenmore 580.5401 for about a month, and it's been working well.

We recently bought the Kenmore 580.54501 also. It works GREAT. They guy at Sears recommended it saying it was the one he had in his basement.

It really makes a difference in less than an hour.

Re: dehumidifyer...

we got the cheapest at Home Dept and it's great - like PP said - within an hour - there is a huge difference

the only plus to getting a bigger one is that you don't have to empty it as much, but then it's heavier too.

I don't mind emptying it - since my front flowers are loving it.

I have a Whirlpool one from Lowes and I'm really happy with it.

I got the smallest sized one and we have it draining into our sump pump so we don't have to empty it.

I believe we have the same one and we have no complaints either.

We have a Santa Fe dehumidifier (purchased it in 2001 and still going strong!) It wasn't cheap, but we wanted something that would work in lower temperatures (below 65 degrees) and could handle the square footage of our basement. It has made a huge difference!!!!
