dehumidifyer

Can anyone recommend one?

I want to put one in my basement.

After our pipe bursting incident I want to make sure that excess moisture is sucked up!

Also, not bad to have one in a basement on LI anyway.

Yikes. If I were home I could answer this question. We have one in our basement but I'll have to look at it when I get home to give you the info.

Re: dehumidifyer

I am on my second Kenmore, from Sears. The first didn't break, I just left it for my landlords when I moved out of a basement apt. I was living in at the time.

When we looked last summer, Sears had 3 models. They are all the same size and have the same reservoir capacity (I think) but we went for the most expensive one because I wanted a workhorse for the basement and didn't want the motor to burn out on the smaller one if it was on constantly. I don't think these go on sale very often.

I would like one that has a hose that would automatically empty into the sink so I don't have to go down there everyday and check it.

Mine has an attachment that you can put a hose on so that you can empty it into the sink. We don't use it, though, so I am not sure how well it works.

I can't remember who makes mine - I have to check when I get home but it worked AWESOME in my basement -

It was about $150 @ Lowes or Home Depot and automatically turns itself off when the buket is full ...........
