Decorative Wreaths-- Seasonal, but not "religious"?

We just did some landscaping in front of our house-- and now you can actually see the front door. I want to get an outdoor wreath for the porch-- I have seen nice ones at people's houses, etc., but now that I am looking to get one for myself-- I can't find one. I don't want something Christmas-y because we are Jewish and don't celebrate Christmas. I just want something pretty and decorative, and winter-y.

I was in Michael's the other day and I saw wreaths that were decorated in blue...those could be either Jewish for Hanukkah or just seasonal.

Michaels will custom make one for you. If you look on Etsy there are also a lot of beautiful ones that are not Christmasy.

yeah, I just don't knwo what I want-- I don't want it to look Chanukah-y either... Just for winter. I will know when I see it I guess.

I did a little looking on etsy, just don't have the patience to go through all the pages of results!!

If you ever go back to LI Simple Pleasures in Lynbrook on Sunrise Hwy make gorgeous wreaths. you can even have it made specific for you if you like.

Frontgate has some to make you drool.
They have a beautiful wintery pine cone wreath for $169. Its a bit pricey but you can use it every year. I get their catalog and every yr without fail..it all goes on sale 25%off come December. So if you could hold out, you'd save a few bucks.

honestly i find buying a real wreath and just wrapping red ribbon and some lights (battery operated string) is the best way. This way at the end of the season i take the ribbon off and lights and toss the wreath no packing up and praying it survives storage.

I got a winter type collection of pine cones and leaves at Michaels and tied a silver bow around it.

I had that dilemma, I found ones I liked with WS and others but they were crazy expensive. So I went to Michaels and made one myself.



That was Thanksgiving last year. I got the branch wreath for a few bucks from Michaels and just bought fake flowers and berries from the section at the front.

I change it once per season and have all sorts of fake flowers, branches, grasses, berries etc. Right now it's a "harvest" theme with orange, yellow and brown. In the middle is a bell ornament so it rings when the door opens.

I think it cost me $30. originally, and I supplement whenever I'm in the mood.

I would take the time to look through Etsy. I've found some truly gorgeous wreaths.

Also Overstock - they have great wreaths!!

I love feather wreaths. I have one from Michaels that I got and it's burgandy. I use it year round.

why not get a red berry wreath, instead of evergreen. It's festive for the season, not overly Christmasy.

Target has a cute cranberry red berry wreath that i originally got for xmas, but ended up leaving it up on our side door all year round because it goes with our decor.
I believe they have them again this year

I have always associated wreaths with Christmas. What about doing something like this Frontgate Cornucopia Door Spray? It will add something festive to your door, without being an actual wreath?

Or this less expensive wall boquet from the Home Depot?
