yep, like my sister. she's been down there for almost 10 years. but she still loves NY and will never bash us NY'ers. after all, she's a NY girl at heart, like me!

Not sure where in this thread I "bashed" NY'ers.
please define "southern style of life".(i'm really curious) ..my sister has adapted to a different way of living - not sure what that would be like other then the obvious (weather, cost of living, etc) b/c i'm obviously not down there. but in general i don't think it would be ALL that different.
i guess when i said we may be brutal, but we're true NY'ers, and then you started talking about stereotypes...i took it as bashing, and giving NY'ers a bad rep. to me, NY'ers are a different breed. bad when we wanna be, but oh so GOOD too!

I have to laugh because DH was so annoyed with me last week. We went in to see a show and I was going crazy over how friggin SLOW people were walking! I took his hand and was pulling him through the crowd because, damn it, I KNOW WHERE I'M GOING, so I'm gonna move my butt down the sidewalk!!! The tourists were KILLING me because they were all shuffeling!

 DH gets annoyed with me too but its bc i take his hand bc HE shuffles and walks SO slow! he lives and works in NYC and walks like a tourist and it drives me crazy!
